Summer Blues

This "Summer Blues" mood board is inspired by own travels abroad. It captures the essence of a luxurious coastal escape, blending deep oceanic tones with soft, sandy neutrals. The palette is inspired by idyllic seaside destinations, reflecting hues of azure and navy contrasted with light creams, creating a calming yet sophisticated atmosphere. The imagery evokes scenes of leisurely yacht rides, historic coastal architecture, and serene beaches. The textures add a tactile dimension to this aesthetic, incorporating woven fabrics and geometric patterns that mirror the intricate details found in both natural and crafted coastal designs. Perfect for evoking the elegance of summer by the sea, this board is a celebration of timeless blues that bring a fresh, breezy feeling to any space.

Laura Merrill

My love of beautiful things has been an evolutionary journey, and has covered a broad spectrum of experience in various realms. This journey began several years ago when I opened a retail shop specializing in interior home furnishings and accessories, French antiques, gifts, and other related objets d'art. Owning a retail business provided a wealth of experience to me in many aspects–especially knowing what consumers gravitated towards.

After a number of years in the retail aspect of design, I decided to try an approach that better suited my lifestyle with young children–working directly with individuals to design their homes.

I feel that my Southern roots combined with my love for travel has afforded me the ability to create unique and timeless interiors. I find inspiration in my travels, and continually encompass new and unexpected treasures as a result.

My services range from individual room design to complete residential and commercial design. I also offer flexible services from consulting to project management. My work is eclectic and comfortable, incorporating texture into style in order to create a functional, comfortable space. I feel that one's home should be a reflection of who they are and how they live, and I treasure having the ability to translate my clients' lifestyles into their own unique reality. It has been immensely rewarding to see my clients delight in the finished product that is their newly decorated home.
